About Kotiyo
What is Kotiyo?
Kotiyo is a residential/community management platform powered by Mywe for resident onboarding, security, visitor management, parking, maintenance, bills and payments, complaints, amenities, announcements and administration.
Who can use Kotiyo?
Residents, owners, tenants, community administrators, security personnel, facility teams, vendors and other users authorised by the participating community.
Who controls resident information?
This depends on the deployment and contract. The community organisation may control resident/community records, while Mywe operates the technology platform and may control limited account, billing, support and security processing.
What information is collected?
Depending on features used: identity, contact, unit, vehicle, visitor, payment status, maintenance/complaint, booking, account, device and security/log information. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
Is payment information stored by Kotiyo?
Payment processing may be handled by an authorised payment gateway. Kotiyo may retain transaction references and payment status for reconciliation. Users should check the payment provider's terms.
Can I delete my account?
You may request account closure or deletion subject to applicable law, community requirements and records that must legally be retained.
Can I withdraw consent?
Where processing is based on consent, you can request withdrawal. Some processing may continue where legally permitted or required, and withdrawal may affect features that require the relevant data.
How are visitors handled?
Visitors can be pre-approved or registered at the gate depending on the community's configuration. Entry/exit and other security information may be recorded.
Can security staff see resident information?
Access is role-based and should be limited to information necessary for security and operational purposes.
Who is responsible for maintenance work?
The Community and/or appointed vendors are responsible for actual maintenance work. Kotiyo facilitates requests, tracking and communication.
Who decides parking allocations?
The Community decides allocations and parking rules; Kotiyo provides the software to record and manage them.
Can I dispute a bill?
Yes. Raise the dispute with the Community/management office through the configured complaint or billing process. Mywe can assist with platform or transaction issues.
Are refunds automatic?
No. Refund eligibility depends on the transaction type and applicable policy. Community dues and charges may require approval by the Community. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
How do I contact support?
Use the support option in Kotiyo, email mywetechnologiesbusiness@gmail.com, or call +91 90724 89489.
Is Kotiyo a security service?
No. Kotiyo supports security workflows but does not replace guards, access-control hardware, emergency services or the Community's physical security procedures.
What happens if Kotiyo is unavailable?
The Community should maintain appropriate contingency procedures for critical functions such as gate access, emergencies and essential resident communications.
